At Bharatratn Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Ashram School in Kharshet, 40 kms off Nashik, more than 705 tribal children live and study in a residential environment, striving for a brighter future. Yet, their daily lives are marked by challenges that most of us take for granted.

Currently, the children bathe in cold water throughout the year. During the monsoons and winter months, this often leads to recurring illnesses and suffering. The school urgently requires solar water heaters to provide safe and consistent access to hot water. The cost of these heaters(5 in girls hostel and 5 in boys hostel) amounts to INR 4,29,120, with an additional INR 1,00,000 needed for plumbing fittings, water tanks to store water, necessary equipment to install and operate them effectively.

Beyond health and hygiene, the school also seeks to enrich the children’s holistic development. They require gym and play equipment worth INR 1,50,114, which will give the children not just physical fitness but also joy, recreation, and an outlet to thrive beyond academics. Right now they just have a barren muddy ground and the little ones have nothing else to play with.

The total requirement for this campaign is a whopping INR 6,79,234, our biggest campaign till date!
