These lines by Dave Grohl have stayed in my heart since I first read them.. After being a mother and living through the pandemic, I realised how important it is to be kind, emphathetic, provide help at the right time when someone is so vulnerable and lost.. and in doing so, it’s only us who really gain.. we gain pure happiness, true satisfaction and infinite blessings.. what more do we really need in this life? And so I started Giving Tree, which has a very simple idea at heart- do one good deed a month! I hope this can one day be a movement where every person helps another one person a month and imagine the lives we can all change together. It will truly be a wonderful world that we can leave behind for our children. Lastly I dedicate this NGO to my late mommy, who was the kindest soul I know. Her simplicity, honesty and generosity have shaped my entire being. Hope I make you proud mommy.

When you make helping others the story of your life, there is never a final chapter, because the legacy continues. So when my daughter Zeel came to me with this very noble idea of her NGO, Giving Tree, I very happily agreed to support her in her mission to spread love & care. We would as family be taking utmost care of every single cause being honest & legit and every donor’s donation going to the needy person. I urge everyone to come together and build a community of givers who believe in the power of humanity. It is the only thing that will have any lasting value- when we have lived for others.

Starting an NGO requires more than just money. It needs hardwork, determination and a genuine desire to support others. That’s what Giving Tree is all about! We are firmly convinced that each of us CAN in our own small way be the agents of change: and when enough of us become ONE, the impact is of a lasting change for the better. Isn’t it so heartful to build a strong community that takes active part in the wellbeing of someone they just came across?!
